I had the privilege to enjoy two nights at a boutique hide away, the NoMad London.

My most important note on this property is a simple, 𝗬𝗲𝘀 𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲! Take me back to the #NoMadLondon.

The feel of the NoMad is sleek and lush. This is the perfect London 5-star boutique luxury hotel that’s small, perfectly placed, and has an aura of old-school roaring twenties – an exclusive hide away.

NoMad London is situated right at the Royal Opera House and just round the corner from Covent Garden. The property is close to everything and yet manages to feel like its own oasis. The entrance is on a side street and arrival feels like being welcome to a private home, and with only 91 well-appointed rooms, this beautiful boutique hotel is a true hidden gem in a hotel-rich city.

Just call them chambers of delight.

The bed chambers felt like I was visiting a friend’s country manor and not staying in a hotel. The art, furniture, bed, and amenities are a level above what is typical even for luxury hotels. Where hotel rooms either get it splendidly right or fail miserably, the NoMad finds success.

The rooms are lush with soft colors accented by art that manages the balance between too much and not enough. My stay in the Royal Opera Suite was exceptional. The entry way had two armoires for clothing, the living room was large and conversational – not the typical hard couch that looks awkward. The bathroom is a perfect size for two people with separate sinks, mirrors, and racks. Shall I wax poetic about the shower or the toilet that had a warmed seat in the morning? I’ll let you discover it.

*Although I did not make use of it, there was a dining room in the suite which seated six and had I been in town to meet with friends, it would have been a perfect place to have a private dinner catered by the restaurant.

Let’s talk about the yummy stuff

There is no lack of talent in the main dining and kitchen with a restaurant and bars completely en pointe with food and beverage. The NoMad’s restaurant consistently creates an experience I know will bring a Michelin star. The service is impeccable, the food worth savoring, and the atmosphere relaxed and uplifting. My lamb was perfection, as were the pickled potatoes. I ate far too much…

The well-suited and glorious staff members

Finally, let’s talk about the staff. We all know this is what separates the worthy from the worst. There are too many words to write – summed up fully in phenomenal. They are always quietly present and a guest lacks for nothing, whatever is needed arrives. At the Nomad, it is the attention to detail and discipline of the staff that elevates this luxurious property above the others.

Should you stay?

I highly recommend this property.
